Here are some helpful tips to help make sure that you pick out a granite that you are going to love for years to come. Picking the right granite for your project is like picking a good tie. Ideally, the pattern and colors of the granite should complement and bring together the colors of the room. To that end, bring samples or pictures of your planned paint color, cabinetry finish, flooring, and any other materials present in the room you are going to renovate. Also, consider the lighting you will be seeing the granite under, if your room has a lot of natural light then what you see is what you get in the slab yard, but if it doesn’t then you need to consider that different granites may look different when viewed under artificial light.
